CIVIL DEMAND CUSTUMER NOTICE
You have been stopped for a shoplifting incident. This state has passed a law permitting merchants to recover a civil monetary penalty and/or damages from you as a result of this incident.
This civil claim will be totally seperate from any criminal punishment or penalties arising from this incident.
These damages may take into consideration the retail value of the merchandise, the condition of the merchandise, the costs of security and Loss Prevetion, and any other damages/penalties permitted by law.
You WILL recieve a letter from Macy's West Civil Recovery Department explaing the amount of the civil monetary demand Macy's West will be seeking.
You may direct any questions to the Civil Recovery Department at: 1-800-742-0707
Do not call any of the Macy's West stores regarding this demand. All comunication should be directed to the Civil Recovery Department. |
